Amare

My love for you,
A subliminal wing.
Defensive and protective,
Of you whom I hold dearest.
Shielding you from the vile word,
And vulgar society.
My love for you,
A lethal talon.
Clawing at the slightest threat,
Keeping them at bay.
Tearing, ripping, shredding,
Any who dare approach.
For you whom I most love,
Can never be harmed.

Spark for Controversy

The paradoxical deficiency of religion:
Believing that declaring yourself unworthy makes you superior.

Violence Is The Answer

What a travesty, I find myself in,
A pickle even, if you wish to say.
It’s like running in a race I can’t win,
Though I am still a-running, all the same.
I know I am my own worst enemy,
So what is it that I keep fighting for?
What is there left in for me to believe,
If with myself do I wage my worst war?
Not self-sufficient, much less efficient,
There is only one thing for me to do.
Determined and undeterred, persistent,
There is but one message I leave to you.
And for my last stand, I shall wield this knife,
And by my own hand, I shall take my life.

DISCLAIMER: I am neither encouraging nor advocating suicide. It is simply an element of poetry that I chose to use for artistic and expressive purposes.

The Poisoned Heart

Our love's but a beautiful tragedy,
The bond between my poison and your heart.
Killing each other to strengthen each other,
For we are but parasites that have found a host in each other.
But we bleed with the same blood,
And we share one same heart,
Making our love a paradox of salvation and suicide.
Just as to me you are, I am to, you your death,
But, me, I hope you will never hate;
I, the one thing I cannot protect you from,
Because I made myself the shield,
that protects you from the menace of society.
